Ernest Volynec (b. 1991) is an abstract artist based in Lithuania.
My painting process starts with waiting. Waiting for the right moment, for the perfect energy flow, for the good day. I never know how the final image will look and I don't want to. My works feature vivid colours and delicate textures, evoking both visual and haptic sensations in the viewers. Inspired by ideas about humanism and pacifism, I want to believe that one day greed, anger and a never-ending cycle of wars will be replaced with peace and love. This is utopia behind my paintings.
